What I think

Image
I think it's obvious that in the final scene, Iggle Piggle isn't just asleep; he's dead. He died from either starvation, dehydration or pneumonia, which would be plausible considering only having a blanket. The Narrator tries to convince us that he's "safe" now. Iggle Piggle is dying from (more than likely) dehydration and the episodes take place in his mind. As he sails, the stars start turning into the white flowers, and he imagines himself in a happy garden with friends. When the Narrator tells him "It's time to go," he doesn't want to, because he knows that he isn't going to wake up, even if he leaves his dreams.  My favourite part of this is that Iggle Piggle is blue from the cold. As for the other characters, it seems as though they are friends who he has been forced to leave behind. Makka Pakka is Iggle Piggle's best friend. Upsy Daisy is probably his ex-girlfriend or wife, and it makes sense to assume she died. He's overp...

Ending

Link To Ending: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VeGc3wympys The Final episode concludes with each of the characters going to bed, and going to sleep, but we see Iggle Piggle running around the garden after bedtime. The Narrator tells him "Don't worry Iggle Piggle, it's time to go." Those are the final words, and then we see Iggle Piggle in the middle of the ocean again. He doesn't move, so he must be asleep, but why aren't we back in the Night Garden if he is asleep?

The Intro

Image
The intro to every In the Night Garden episode is the same. In it, Iggle Piggle can be seen on a boat in the middle of an ocean. He only has his blanket, which he uses as a sail, but he takes it down at night to fight the freezing temperatures. There is nothing else on the boat, no food or water, and there isn't any land in sight. As he drifts off to sleep, we see white flowers cover the screen and then we're brought to the Garden of Night, where In the Night Garden takes place.

Iggle Piggle

Most of the conspiracy theory revolves around Iggle Piggle, one of the main characters, so it's important to know him. He always carries his red blanket.

The Narrator

Image
This has no relevance to the conspiracy, but the Narrator of In the Night Garden is Derek Jacobi. For anyone who doesn't know, he plays Senator Gracchus in Gladiator, as well as featuring in many Shakespeare plays, and historical films. He decided that the best step for his career would be to narrate In the Night Garden, as you would.

Introduction

In the Night Garden is a kids show that ran from 2007-2009. It follows characters such as Makka Pakka, Iggle Piggle, Upsy Daisy and the Tombliboos. At first glance, people tend to think of it as a normal kids show, because the children watching it can't understand what it's really about. It had 2 seasons, and Makka Pakka carried every episode. In this blog, I'll be going over some weird things about In the Night Garden and a conspiracy theory surrounding it.
